Paid Forums

Most paid forums and paid article sites are relatively cheap in their pay outs.  I won't name names, but many of them are paying pennies on the dollar.  However, there is now a new forum called Family Friendly Forums that is changing all that. They do not pay you, Google Adsense pays you.  When you sign up to the forum, you also need to sign up for Google Adsense.  Once signed up you go in to your profile on the forum(s) of your choice, and enter your pub-### and your channel number, (if you use channels), and when the adsense for content ads are served up, Family Friendly Forums will serve up a certain percentage of their own ads and a certain percentage of your ads.  When your ads are served up, you get the full click value as paid by Google and Family Friendly Forums gets nothing, unless it is their ad that is served up.

The serving of ads is based on a percentage and a topic you have started.  If you start a topic on cancer, that is your page.  Depending on your membership position which goes up by number of posts you've made, your ads will be delivered to that topic anywhere from 30% to 70%.  In otherwords, as a beginner when people read your topic, 30% of the ads served will be yours and the other 70% belong to Family Friendly Forums.  once you've posted 40 posts, your percentage goes up to 40%, 80 posts 50%, 160 posts 60% and 300 posts 70%.  On top of that, Family Friendly Forums is sharing all non topic pages, for instance the index page, at a 50% rate which means they will get half and other members will be randomly selected to get the other half.

The biggest downfall to this forum at the present is that it is a brand new site so there are few members.  As the membership grows, so will the search engines recognition of the web site, and so will the number of people who read and debate.  All of this increase will generate increased revenue.  Knowing this, Family Friendly Forums is for a limited time allowing people to start off at 50% on their own topic. 

There is a lot each individual writer can do to make this type of site a good paying site. 

1. Tell your friends, if everyone invites a friend a day, in a weeks time there could be a lot of members. 
2. The more that is written, the higher the payout, and the more meat the search engines have to recognize the site, thus more traffic. 
3. If you have a web site, put a link to it.  The more links pointing to the site where your writing is, the higher rank Google and Yahoo and other search engines will give it.

This site is similar to MyLot in that it is a discussion place with a few exceptions.  Instead of all the different topics being posted in the same database, (slowing down the search procedures and reducing their page values), each of the different forums are topic related and each one has its own domain and its own database.  This means if you are interested in home schooling, the forum you go to is all about home schooling, and you won't see topis or posts about middle east religions or Albert Einsteins theories.  If you've been to MyLot, you know what I'm talking about.
